Rated 4 out of 5 by from XL Pease This is my first running vest. I bought it because I find handhelds and belts to be both cumbersome and inconvenient. I am happy to report that, with one minor issue, this vest is a much better hydration solution for me. Out of the box, the vest impresses wth it's well thought out design, use of materials and quality construction. The cell phone pocket holds my "normal size" iPhone 6. The snack pocket holds a couple of gels or bars. The overflow pockets on the back easily hold a wind shell, gloves, cap, buff, etc. The inclusion of a whistle is also a nice touch. I have not been able to use the pole retainers because, at 28" collapsed length, my poles are way too long, but I seldom run with poles so, for me, this is not an issue. Just something to be aware of if you are looking at this vest. On the trail, the vest is easily adjusted and comfortable to wear. This is also my first experience with soft flasks. They are definitely more comfortable than rigid bottles, but I find them harder to drink from. I have to squeeze them hard while working the bite valve to get any water. It's a bit frustrating when you're sucking wind after a hard climb. Perhaps I need more practice. Until I fully resolve this, I've taken to removing the cap from the flask to get big gulp when needed. The one minor issue I mentioned is size. At 6'4", 215lbs, 44" chest, I am "bulky" for a trail runner. Camelbak claims the large size vest will fit up to a 46" chest, but I feel I am at the limit of the vest size wise. I can use it, and it's not exactly uncomfortable, but I think an extra-large vest with an inch, or two, more room in both length and circumference would be a nice addition to the line. At least for "bulky" folks like me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not the product we were looking for. I bought this vest for my husband for running. The problem is not the actual product, but what he wanted to use it for (I'm not sure exactly what it was marketed for). The idea was to wear it running, on trail runs, etc. The problem is that the bottles are too flimsy to grab and put back while running. He had to stop to shove the soft bottles back into the vest.
