Description

Our iconic and versatile MTB pack is now designed to give you the Low Rider advantage. The M.U.L.E. LR combines the storage and features of the beloved M.U.L.E. pack with a lumbar design that offers more stability during aggressive downhill rides. Instead of concentrating pack weight on your shoulders, this pack shifts your load to your hips for a lower center of gravity and more freedom of movement. The pack is built around a brand new 3-liter Crux reservoir that delivers more water per sip, with a design that’s optimized for fast and fumble-free refills.

Features

  • The brand new Crux LR reservoir delivers 20% more water per sip while keeping weight positioned low on your back, which translates to better stability in the saddle and on the trail.
  • Airfoil™ back panel is our most advanced back panel providing maximum comfort and ventilation even on the longest rides
  • Magnetic Tube Trap™ keeps your tube secure and accessible when you need it
  • Stabilizing load-bearing hip belts with cargo optimizes a custom fit and keeps essentials close at hand
  • Dual reservoir compression straps cinch the reservoir into the small of your back for a tight stable fit.
  • Rain cover keeps your pack and gear shielded from inclement weather
  • Built in helmet carry hooks and secures a XC helmet while still allowing full access to your pack without removing
  • Separate zippered compartment with gear organizer and tool roll.
  • Additional top zippered pocket has a microfleece lining and holds your media player
  • Overflow storage quickly lashes down a rain shell or extra layer via 2 sets of compression straps
  • Reflective accents for visibility in low-light environments

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great All Around Pack Really great pack that has been a huge help on all mountain rides and dirt biking. The low weight of the water feels like I'm holding 1L, not the actual 3L. The tool roll is a great place to keep emergency tools, but I keep a multi tool in a more accessible pocket. Very light pack that packs gear in well thought out way. Minor complaints, -I wish the waist belt zipper pockets were wrapped around more towards the front to make them more accessible -The tails of the waist band and the bladder compression straps are excessively long but easily fixed with scissors and a lighter. For reference I'm 6'2" at 185 lbs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed M.U.L.E LR Very disappointed, had a camelback for many years and the time has come to replace it. Was very happy with my old H.A.W.G so replaced it with A, M.U.L.E LR. Big mistake. Putting the bladder in is a nightmare really fidally. When it gets down to about 500ml you can’t get water out. The pipe comes out more to one side of the bladder, so if it creases and the water goes to the other side you can’t get any. Camelbak say the brand-new Crux LR reservoir delivers 20% more water per sip The bladder has bigger diameter pipe which takes 20% more effort to suck the water out, the end bite valve comes out at an angle that makes no sense. The old one comes out at 90 degres which works well, the new one does not so you have to bend the pipe round more which can kink the pipe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Fitting Hydo Pack I got the MULE LR 15 a couple of months and it has been the best hydration packs I've owned. The 3 liters of holding capacity is just perfect for a full morning or afternoon ride for my dog and me. I can load everything in it I need for the trail, without to much excess pack space left over. The bladder sits low and centered in the pack making the rest of the backpack sit securely through fast and rough terrain.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid hydration pack At first blush, the LR bladder takes some getting used to, I found it a bit difficult to get the bladder into and in a proper position in the bottom of the pack without considerable effort. I felt I had to empty the other cargo I had in the pack to get the bladder in. I am sure this will become easier as I use the pack but my older M.U.L.E was not so demanding.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad design, poorly manufactured!! Coming off a 5 year old M.U.L.E. NV I was expecting better, instead I'm thoroughly disappointed. My old M.U.L.E. finally have up the ghost so I thought I'd replace it with the latest version. The new LR model is not very well thought out to say the least. Firstly the bladder is awkward to get in place and on my second ride one of the hose retaining straps pulled out of the stitching. Putting items in the pack is like putting them in a garbage bag, everything falls to the bottom. This only makes installing the bladder harder as it's fighting all your stuff sitting at the bottom of the pack. Our would be better served to have the bladder pocket separated under the storage pockets. The old NV had a much better storage layout with smaller pockets on the front. The magnetic hose clip is ok, but the bit that stays on the tube constantly moves so everytime I clip in my hose I have to pull the hose through it to get it back in the right place. Finally the adjustability of the straps is no good. I'm 176cm and 63kg and I can't do the waist straps tight enough, I might be able to if I cut the elastic loops off that are for holding the excess strap length. I'd also like to tighten the shoulder straps more, but then my helmet hits the top of the pack when descending. I've been really let down by this purchase, wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
